Four prints based on a short stay

in Berlin 2006 and the 2009 Disintegration.

The detail includes a vast range of juxtapositions that Holden notice in everyday situations.

Within Berlin 02 you can see where Holden has taken each letter off the American Sector sign and used the letters to write I think i saw hundreds of black rabbits. Something he thinks he may or may not of seen walking home one night. You see a monk demonstrating outside the Reichstag whilst a road cleaner sweeps past him, Old butterfly wallpaper, on the walls of former East German buildings, placed next to the modern billboard advertisements for West cigarettes and details like a building companys logo of a cartoon builder seemingly doing a Nazi salute intertwined with the sub titles from the film Wings of Desire. Throughout this series you can see the ties and contrasts where East met West, characters and differences which are rapidly being lost from the city. Everything was full of life, and all life was one.
