Two prints made of fragments of all the Holden Mandalas to date for the Disintegration series.

As part of his continuing Disintegration theme Holden collaborates each subject of his previous work to create these striking prints. Holden uses snapshots to capture the moments that make up a time and place, it is these brief moments that build the entirety in his pictures. Photography holds a moment and keeps it still whilst the memory fades until something is just a a few recollected instances of the actual experience. In the Disintegration series he explores the idea of this gradual breakdown and collapse. Holden describes this as a television set playing every channel in the world at once, and the prints do seem to have the quality of a bad television reception or transmission. This is the place where some of the Holden channels meet, where the splinters of that moment, that day, that year, all merge together into one.
